CERF receives broad support from 126 United Nations Member States and observers, regional governments and the private sector, including corporations, non-governmental organizations and individuals.
Donors’ support has been significant. Since its inception in 2006, CERF has received more than US$2.8 billion. In 2011, CERF achieved higher levels of success: it received $465.5 million, and for the second time in its history it exceeded the annual target of $450 million set by the UN General Assembly.
This extraordinary feat is made more significant given the negative global economy and its effects on donors’ budgets.
