Training and workshops

Please note that no trainings are planned for the 1st and 2nd quarter of 2014. For further information, please contact Yuka Hasegawa, Head of Programme Unit, on hasegaway@un.org.

The main purpose of the training is to familiarize UN, IOM and NGO partners of the details of the CERF process.

Specifically, the workshops will enable participants to:

  • Develop a clearer understanding of the CERF criteria, prioritization and approval process, key actors, roles and responsibilities;

  • Improve the quality of the submissions, including project narrative and budget request;

  • Enhance narrative and financial reporting;

  • Share lessons learned from the region.

Target audience

The training specifically targets sector/cluster lead representatives, disaster management focal points, administrative/financial officers and field/programme officers. OCHA staff who work with humanitarian financing issues are encouraged to attend.
