The four-year UNTFHS-funded project entitled &amp;ldquo;Enhancing human security through developing local capacity for holistic community-based conflict prevention in Northern Ghana&amp;rdquo;, has been jointly implemented by six UN agencies, namely UNDP, UNICEF, WFP, FAO, UNIDO and UNU-INRA. The programme sought to empower local institutions, communities and individuals to manage and prevent conflict in Northern Ghana as a means to ensuring sustainable human security in the area. As a component of the project, a two-day conference will focus on approaches and practices addressing the challenges associated with human security in Africa.
