The Sudan CHF brings together a number of key stakeholders to meet its objective of supporting the timely allocation and disbursement of donor resources to the most critical humanitarian needsof Sudan under the direction of the Humanitarian Coordinator.
The Sudan CHF is led and coordinated by the Humanitarian Coordinator (HC). The HC will undertake activities in relation to the CHF with support and advice provide by the OCHA CHF Humanitarian Financing Section, UNDP the Administrative Agent, and the CHF Advisory Group.
The CHF Advisory Group (AG) will represent the views of the Donors, the UNCT and the NGO Community and provide strategic guidance and advice to the HC in managing the CHF and its policies. The CHF AG will also provide a forum for Representatives and the HC to discuss funding gaps and share information on funding coverage. AG Participants will represent their respective communities and not individual agency opinions.
The CHF Working Group of the Advisory Group will undertake the following activities in relation to the CHF:
a) Support the CHF Advisory Group.
b) Review and make recommendations on allocation policies.
c) Review and make recommendations on evaluation recommendations and next steps.
d) Review and make recommendations on CHF management procedures.
e) Conduct the final review of allocations and ensure fairness and compliance with the CHF process.
Sector Leadswill lead processes at the sectoral level aimed at ensuring a transparent and strategic allocation process. They ensure a more coherent and effective response by mobilizing sector Partners to respond in a coordinated, strategic manner.
