Khartoum, 11 October 2012. The United Nations Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator in Sudan, Mr. Ali Al-Za’tari, expressed his appreciation for the recent United Nations’ Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF) allocation of US$14 million to support life-saving underfunded projects in the Darfur region of Sudan. “This much needed CERF allocation helps to close a critical gap in funding for the humanitarian response in Darfur,” said Mr. Al-Za’tari.
