- 8 health personnel h ave died of Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) since the outbreak of the epidemic .

On 28 Sept ember, the total number of cases i s(see table above for details) of which2 deaths , an overall lethality rate of around 60%. The latest confirmed case w as on 24 September.

The United Nations Mission in DRC (MONUSCO) is nearing the completion of a camp for the Ebola’s response team in Lokolia. Six out of eight tents have already been installed; finishing work a nd site development activities are underway.

To improve access to the affected zone, the rehabilitation of bridges continue s on the road between Lokolia and Watsi Kengo, as well as the rebuilding of the ramp to the ferry on Lomela River .
