UN and partners act on cholera in Sudan

Heavy rains starting in June 2019 led to flash flooding in 17 out of 18 states in Sudan. This photo was taken in White Nile state.

Following a cholera outbreak in Sudan’s Blue Nile state, which has killed six people, the United Nations and its humanitarian partners have stepped in to improve people’s access to safe water.

At least 146,000 people in the state have been provided access to potable water and sanitation.
