WHAT: The Second Brussels Conference on ‘Supporting the Future of Syria and the Region’

Mark Lowcock, Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator, is scheduled to co-host, on behalf of the UN and together with the EU, the Second Conference on ‘Supporting the future of Syria and the region’ in Brussels on 24-25 April.

Mr. Lowcock is expected to deliver opening remarks during a ‘day of dialogue’ with NGOs and partner organizations working in response to the Syria crisis on 24 April. On 25 April, Mr. Lowcock will address the opening session of the ministerial-level conference, co-chair two humanitarian sessions, and provide concluding remarks alongside the EU co-host.

A press conference is scheduled at 12:45 on the 25 April with Mr. Lowcock on the panel.
