(New York, 17 December 2014) I welcome the news that the Security Council has unanimously adopted resolution 2191, which renews resolution 2165, reaffirming their commitment to helping millions of Syrians in need of aid and protection.
Humanitarian organizations are committed to continuing to help people in desperate need despite the dangerous conditions we face. Syrians need a peaceful and stable future. I hope that a political solution will soon be found to end the crisis so that Syrians can face a future without fear.
