FIFTH MEETING OF THE SHANGHAI COOPERATION ORGANIZATION IN TAJIKISTAN ON EMERGENCY SITUATIONS
The fifth meeting of the heads of government authorities responsible for the prevention and liquidation of emergency situations in the border regions of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states was held in Khujand Province, Tajikistan, from 20 to 21 August 2015.
Also discussed were operational procedures for rescue units during the emergency-recovery process and information exchange about possible emergency situations.
The event was organized by the Committee of Emergency Situations and Civil Defense of Tajikistan with financial support of the United Nations Development Programme in Tajikistan,
United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs,
ACTED, FOCUS and OXFAM Tajikistan.
