HUMANITARIAN COORDINATOR FOR UKRAINE DENISE BROWN STRONGLY CONDEMNS ATTACKS BY THE RUSSIAN ARMED FORCES ON CITIES ACROSS UKRAINE ON MONDAY MORNING

The week in Ukraine has started with another wave of deadly strikes by the Russian Armed Forces.

These attacks hit several cities of Ukraine, including the capital, Kyiv, as well as Kryvyi Rih and Pokrovsk as people were starting their day. Dozens of people have been killed and injured.

A children’s hospital in the centre of Kyiv has been heavily damaged, the extent of which is not yet known. It is unconscionable that children are killed and injured in this war.

Under international humanitarian law, hospitals have special protection. Civilians must be protected.
