HUMANITARIAN COORDINATOR FOR UKRAINE DENISE BROWN STRONGLY CONDEMNS AN ATTACK ON 28 JUNE BY THE RUSSIAN ARMED FORCES THAT HIT AN APARTMENT BLOCK, KILLING AND INJURING PEOPLE IN A HEAVILY POPULATED URBAN AREA OF DNIPRO CITY.

I am utterly appalled by today's news of an attack a few hours ago in Dnipro City, destroying an apartment block right in front of the United Nations offices. This attack killed, injured and traumatized people.

Residents were literally buried underneath, and people still remain under the rubble as the building is collapsing.

These attacks are unacceptable violations of international humanitarian law; civilians must be protected.
