These are the CBPFs - Country-based Pooled Funds

Attachments

The Country-based Pooled Funds (CBPFs) are essential instruments for supporting humanitarian action that saves lives, alleviates suffering and maintains human dignity.

The Funds are based in several countries around the world that suffer from substantial humanitarian needs. They support humanitarian organizations based in-country, including national and local organizations with deep networks to stay and deliver in a crisis.

How CBPFs works

Donors – countries, individuals, or foundations – contribute money to a specific CBPF. The UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator (HC) who leads and coordinates humanitarian response in a given country then leads decision-making and allocation processes to distribute the money to local, national and international organizations to help people in need.
