The Humanitarian Advisory Team (HAT) in Tajikistan is primarily tasked with assessing and responding to humanitarian crises in the country. They coordinate international efforts and provide strategic guidance, policy advice and technical support to a variety of stakeholders. This includes working closely with the Government of Tajikistan, NGOs, and other local institutions to ensure effective disaster management, prevent human suffering and protect vulnerable groups. They also work towards capacity building of local agencies to better equip them to manage future crises.
